Overview
The EPC 50 is the electronic control unit Alfa Laval introduced in 1999 for its fuel and lube oil purifiers, with an EPC 50B variant on FCM Oil fuel supply systems. Alfa Laval states that EPC 50 control systems have been discontinued in its equipment for many years, and offers an upgrade to the EPC 70 controller. Many vessels still run separators on EPC 50 control, so replacement modules and boards remain in demand when a unit fails between upgrades.
