Surplus

Sell Surplus Stock

TIMC buys surplus automation, electrical and instrumentation equipment outright. Send what you have and you will have an answer within one business day.

Who this is for

Stock that stopped being needed

Surplus is rarely anyone's fault and almost always someone else's shortage. These are the four situations it usually comes from.

Over-ordered in a shortage

Buffer stock bought against allocation that never got consumed once lead times recovered.

Cancelled or descoped project

Equipment bought to a bill of materials for a job that changed or never ran.

Redesign or platform change

A machine or panel moved to a different controller and stranded the old references.

Last-time buy

Stock bought ahead of an end-of-life date, in quantities the installed base outlived.

Why TIMC

Not a listing site

TIMC is an independent distributor. We spend the day sourcing control, electrical and instrumentation equipment against live enquiries from panel builders, machine builders, integrators and maintenance teams.

Your list gets read against those requirements rather than posted somewhere and left to age. If it matches, we buy it. If it does not, we say so quickly instead of leaving it listed.

and 121 more across control, drives, electrical, instrumentation and networking equipment.

What we buy

Equipment we take

New, surplus and unused stock, and tested used equipment where it is identifiable. Single references or whole pallets.

  • Automation & Control
  • Power Generation & Management
  • Engine & Machinery Control
  • Drives & Motor Control
  • Electrical & Protection
  • Instrumentation & Sensors
  • Industrial Networking
  • Mechanical & Service Parts

Discontinued and end-of-life references are of particular interest. They are the hardest thing for our customers to find and the easiest thing for a store to write off.

Process

Three steps

  1. Send the list

A spreadsheet, a photograph of the shelf, or part numbers typed into the form. Whatever you already have.

  2. We check it

Against what we are being asked to source. You get an answer within one business day either way.

  3. You get an offer

An outright purchase price for what we can take, and a straight no on what we cannot.
