Supply Condition
Two quotations for the same part number can describe different packaging, source and revision details. These are the terms used on a TIMC quotation.
New factory sealed
Unopened in the manufacturer's original packaging, with the factory seal intact.
New factory opened
Manufacturer packaging that has been opened — typically for inspection or to verify a revision — but the unit is unused.
New surplus sealed
Unused stock that has passed through the supply chain rather than direct from the maker, still sealed in its original packaging.
New surplus open
Unused surplus stock in original packaging that has been opened.
New without box
Unused, but supplied without the manufacturer's packaging.
How condition is confirmed
Which conditions are available depends on the part. A current production module may be offered factory sealed; a withdrawn controller may only be available as new surplus or new without box, and for some parts nothing is available at all.
Condition is stated on the quotation. If you require a specific condition, say so on the RFQ and we will confirm whether it can be met.
Warranty terms are confirmed with each quotation and depend on product condition. Factory-sealed, factory-opened, surplus and no-box goods are not treated the same way.
