Kongsberg's order book is full of new ships.

Kongsberg Maritime reported a record backlog of NOK 28.4 billion in July 2026, and 87% of it is linked to newbuild deliveries. It also said aftermarket decisions, especially larger upgrades, are slower. For vessels already at sea, that makes original spares the faster route.
