The 5094-IB16 is a FLEX 5000 16 point digital input module. Its 16 sinking channels sit in one group, 12/24V DC, with an on-state range of 10…32V DC. Input delay is 100 µs maximum at 25 °C, and the filter time is selectable from 0…50 ms. It works from -40 °C to +70 °C (technical data 5094-TD001).

What is the 5094-IB16 used for?

It brings 16 DC signals into a FLEX 5000 I/O node, drawing up to 80 mA of 15V DC backplane power. Channels 0 to 7 handle pulse latching, four events and simple counters up to 5000 Hz. Field devices are powered from Sensor Actuator power at 18…32V DC.
