DEIF Multi-line 2 Controllers Spare Parts
DEIF's Multi-line 2 generation of paralleling, protection and power-management controllers.
Overview
DEIF's Multi-line 2 generation covers paralleling, protection and power-management controllers for generator sets and marine switchboards, including the PPU-2, GPU-2 and PPM-2 and their later -3 variants. DEIF has phased out the PPU-2, GPU-2 and PPM-2. It names the PPU 300 and PPM 300 as product-programme replacements for the PPU-2 and PPM-2, and currently states that no replacement is offered for the GPU-2. DEIF has also announced that the PPM-3 is being phased out in favour of the iE 350 Marine. Moving a vessel to a newer generation usually means configuration and wiring changes, so an exact-match spare is often the quickest repair. Send the order code and option list from the unit's label for a quotation on the exact unit or on the successor for your approval.

Keeping DEIF Multi-line 2 Controllers in service
When a module fails on an older system, there are two routes. A like-for-like replacement keeps the vessel in service; an upgrade can then be planned for a later docking.
Option 1
Replace the failed module like for like
An exact replacement keeps the installed system, its software and its class approval unchanged. Match the part number and revision on the label of the failed unit; the table above lists the order numbers in this family. TimControls sources new and new surplus units. Plan the manufacturer’s upgrade
DEIF names successors model by model; the OEM successor column above shows each one where the manufacturer states it. An upgrade replaces hardware and usually software, and needs planning with the manufacturer and the class society.
