Overview
MELSEC-L CPUs join their modules side by side without a base unit and have I/O built in, sink or source (-P) depending on the model. Mitsubishi's database gives 1024 or 4096 I/O points and program capacities from 20K to 260K steps, with USB and RS-232 or Ethernet ports; BT versions add a CC-Link master/local station function. Mitsubishi names iQ-R CPUs as replacements. TIMC quotes them against the model name, serial number and function version on the rating plate.
