Overview
ControlLogix communication modules sit in any slot of a 1756 chassis and link the controller to its networks. Rockwell's technical data 1756-TD003 covers the EtherNet/IP modules (1756-ENBT, EN2T, EN2TR with two ports, EN2F for fibre, EN2TXT for extended temperatures and EN3TR), the ControlNet modules (1756-CNB, CNBR, CN2, CN2R and CN2RXT, the R versions with redundant media) and the 1756-DNB DeviceNet bridge and scanner. Several older modules are discontinued, and Rockwell names a replacement for them: the 1756-EN2T for the ENBT, and the 1756-CN2 and CN2R for the CNB and CNBR. TIMC quotes these modules against the catalog number and series on the label.
