Schneider Electric Modicon M580 ePAC processors: standalone BMEP58 processors, BMEH58 Hot Standby processors, and Safety SIL 3 versions of both.
Overview
The Modicon M580 processors mount on an Ethernet backplane and come in performance levels 1 to 6, each as a distributed (20) or remote I/O (40) version. Schneider's product pages give them Ethernet ports for the device network and a service port, a USB port, and up to 4 GB of flash for data storage. BMEH58 models run as Hot Standby pairs, S versions are certified for SIL 3 safety, H versions are for harsh environments and C versions are conformal coated. Schneider names M580 processors as the replacements for many Quantum and Premium processors. TIMC quotes them against the reference and product version on the label.
