Overview
The PROFIBUS FC RS 485 Plug 180 is the straight version of Siemens's PROFIBUS bus connector: the cable leaves in line with the 9-pin sub-D port instead of at a right angle, which Siemens lists for industrial PCs, SIMATIC operator panels and optical link modules. Like the SIMATIC DP connectors it carries a terminating resistor switched by a slide switch, which isolates the outgoing bus when switched on, and it takes 2-core PROFIBUS FastConnect installation cable on insulation-displacement terminals. Siemens's SiePortal page marks the earlier 6GK1500-0FC00 as discontinued and names 6GK1500-0FC10 as its successor.
