Overview
SIMATIC HMI panels are the screens operators use to run a machine. Basic Panels such as the KTP700 cover simple machines; Comfort Panels such as the TP700 and TP1200 add more memory, PROFIBUS/MPI and larger screens; Unified Comfort Panels such as the MTP1500 are configured with WinCC Unified. Siemens's SiePortal pages mark the TP700 and TP1200 Comfort as phase-out announced. A replacement panel needs the project reloaded from the engineering software. TIMC quotes panels against the order number on the rating plate.
