About the Allen-Bradley 1734-IT2I

The 1734-IT2I is a POINT I/O 24V DC 2 channel thermocouple input module. Its two inputs are differential and individually isolated, with a ±75 mV input signal, 15 bits plus sign resolution and absolute accuracy of 0.1% full scale at 25 °C. Conversion is Delta Sigma with signed integer data. It draws 175 mA at 5V DC from the POINTBus and dissipates 1.0 W.

What is the 1734-IT2I used for?

It reads two thermocouples and passes the values to the POINT I/O system. Noise filtering is set per channel, with a notch filter and a first-order low-pass digital filter, to suit the update rate and step response a system needs. It mounts on DIN rail on a 1734-TB, 1734-TBS, 1734-TOP, 1734-TOPS or 1734-TBCJC terminal base and needs no external field supply.
