About the Allen-Bradley 1734-IR2

The 1734-IR2 is a POINT I/O 24V DC 2 channel RTD input module. Its two RTD inputs are single-ended and non-isolated, with absolute accuracy of 0.1% Full Scale at 25 °C and Delta Sigma conversion. It draws 220 mA at 5V DC from the POINTBus and dissipates 1.0 W.

What is the 1734-IR2 used for?

It reads two RTD temperature sensors and passes the values to the POINT I/O system as signed integers. It mounts on DIN rail on a 1734-TB, 1734-TBS, 1734-TOP or 1734-TOPS terminal base, keyswitch position 6, and works from -20 °C to +55 °C in an open-style housing.
