Description
The Kongsberg 603443 is the RMP200-8, the eight channel multipurpose I/O module of Kongsberg's RIO hardware line for the RBUS remote I/O bus. Six channels share a common ground and can each be set as a digital input or output, an analogue input or output, or a potentiometer input; channels 6 and 8 are individually isolated for analogue or digital signals. Every analogue channel works over a ±10 V span with 16 bit conversion, or as a 0 to 20 mA loop, and the digital outputs drive up to 0.1 A from regulated 24 V loop power. The module takes its power and its commands over two redundant RBUS connections from an RCU remote controller unit, monitors its own circuits and I/O loops while running, and can be swapped without stopping the system.
What is the 603443 used for?
The RMP200-8 snaps onto a dual DIN rail in a system cabinet and brings field signals into Kongsberg control systems built on RBUS, such as K-Pos dynamic positioning and K-Chief 700 and K-Safe automation. Up to 99 modules can share one RBUS. If the controller stops talking to it, each output either holds its last value or moves to the safe value set for that channel.

Is the RMP200-8 still made?
Kongsberg has published no discontinuation notice for the RMP200-8 (checked 31 October 2026). Supply of older RIO modules varies, so send us your quantity and we will check what is available.
Is there a replacement for the RMP200-8?
Kongsberg has named no successor. Its RIO range also includes the RMP201-8 (324400), a different module with its own part number: check the channel types and the system configuration before using one in place of the other.
