Deep Sea Electronics DSE 5000 series controllers

The DSE5110, DSE5120, DSE5210, DSE5220, DSE5310 and DSE5320.

Overview

DSE built its 5000 series as pairs on one data sheet: an auto start module (DSE5110, DSE5210, DSE5310) and an auto mains (utility) failure module with the same features plus mains monitoring (DSE5120, DSE5220, DSE5320). DSE describes the DSE5110 and DSE5210 for non-electronic engines, and the DSE5310 and DSE5320 for non-electronic and electronic engines. The DSE5210 to DSE5320 add RS232 or RS485 communication for a PC, SMS messages and building management systems. All six share a 240 mm x 172 mm module with a 220 mm x 160 mm panel cut-out. Deep Sea Electronics lists every one of them as obsolete and names the DSE7310 MKII (auto start) or DSE7320 MKII (auto mains failure) as the replacement; its notice 056-035 also names the DSE7410 MKII or DSE7420 MKII for the DSE5210 to DSE5320, and for the DSE5210 and DSE5220 advises them where the RS232 or RS485 port is in use. Check the wiring and the panel cut-out against both data sheets before changing a module.
