About the Deep Sea Electronics DSE5320

The DSE5320 is the auto mains (utility) failure module of DSE's DSE5310 and DSE5320 pair. DSE says it includes all the features of the DSE5310 plus the ability to monitor a mains (utility) supply, and it adds a TEST button. On DSE's data sheet it also has auxiliary outputs 4 and 5, rated 8 A AC volt-free relays, which the DSE5310 does not list. Deep Sea Electronics lists the DSE5320 as obsolete and names the DSE7320 MKII as its replacement; its notice 056-035 also names the DSE7420 MKII.

What is the DSE5320 used for?

The DSE5320 watches the mains (utility) supply and starts the generating set when the mains fails, then stops it when the mains returns. It works with non-electronic and electronic engines and can report to a remote PC over RS232 or RS485.
