About the Kongsberg 8100334

The Kongsberg 8100334 PSO-P is a power switch-over unit that sits between two independent 24 V DC supplies and the distributed processing units (DPUs) of a Kongsberg automation system. It provides five 24 V DC outputs of up to 3 A, each protected by an automatic fuse with manual reset, and always outputs the higher of the two supply voltages, so the DPUs stay powered if one supply fails. Change-over relay outputs signal the loss of either supply to the alarm system. Kongsberg lists this version for use with the AutoChief propulsion control system and the K-Chief alarm, monitoring and control system.

What is the 8100334 used for?

The PSO-P is mounted inside an automation or propulsion control cabinet (minimum IP20) and feeds redundant 24 V DC power to the DPUs on K-Chief and AutoChief C20 installations. Every DPU connected to its outputs depends on it for power.
