About the DEIF PPU 300

The DEIF PPU 300 is a paralleling and protection unit from DEIF's Multi-line 300 platform, designed for marine use. One controller contains the functions to protect and control a generator or inverter and its breaker, and it can be configured as a genset, bus tie breaker, shaft generator or shore connection controller. Up to 32 controllers form one system with load-sharing sections. The controller is modular: measurement, input/output and communication modules plug into a rack and can be added or replaced on site. DEIF lists the PPU 300 as not recommended for new designs and names the iE 250 Marine as its successor.

What is the PPU 300 used for?

The PPU 300 is installed in the main switchboard of vessels and offshore units, one controller per generator, shaft generator, shore connection or bus tie breaker, where it handles synchronisation, load sharing and generator protection. It suits vessels with several power sources on the busbar, including generators, battery inverters, shaft generators and shore connections.
