About the Deep Sea Electronics DSE4520

The DSE4520 is the original (MKI) auto mains (utility) failure module of DSE's compact DSE4510 and DSE4520 pair. DSE's data sheet gives it a mains (utility) input of 15 V to 415 V AC (Ph to N) and 26 V to 719 V AC (Ph to Ph), and auxiliary outputs E and F as well as C and D, which the DSE4510 does not have. It shares the DSE4510's 140 mm x 113 mm x 43 mm case and 118 mm x 92 mm cut-out. Deep Sea Electronics lists the DSE4520 as obsolete and names the DSE4520 MKII as its replacement, a different module; its notice 056-035 also names the DSEG4500.

What is the DSE4520 used for?

The DSE4520 watches the mains (utility) supply and starts the generating set when the mains fails. It also protects the engine and alternator in a compact panel space.
