About the Deep Sea Electronics DSE8660

The DSE8660 is DSE's original single or multi-mains controller with automatic transfer switch capability, for systems of synchronised generating sets. Its data sheet gives mains (utility) and bus inputs of 15 V to 333 V AC (L-N) at 3.5 Hz to 75 Hz, volt-free outputs rated 8 A at 250 V AC and a 220 mm x 160 mm cut-out. Deep Sea Electronics lists the DSE8660 as obsolete and names the DSE8660 MKII as its replacement, a different module.

What is the DSE8660 used for?

The DSE8660 controls the changeover between the mains (utility) and a group of generating sets, or runs them in synchronisation with the mains. It indicates status and faults on its LCD, LEDs, sounder and by SMS.
