About the Deep Sea Electronics DSE8610

The DSE8610 is DSE's original synchronising auto start control module for multi-generator load share systems, designed to synchronise up to 32 generators with electronic and non-electronic engines. DSE says it monitors the generator and starts or stops the engine on load demand or fault condition. Its data sheet gives isolated governor and AVR outputs, a generator and bus range of 15 V to 333 V AC (L-N), 11 configurable inputs, 8 configurable outputs and a 220 mm x 160 mm cut-out. Deep Sea Electronics lists the DSE8610 as obsolete and names the DSE8610 MKII as its replacement, a different module.

What is the DSE8610 used for?

The DSE8610 runs one generating set in a load share system, starting and stopping it on load demand and synchronising it onto the bus. It drives the governor and AVR through its isolated outputs.
