About the Deep Sea Electronics DSE7420

The DSE7420 is the original (MKI) auto mains (utility) failure module of DSE's DSE7410 and DSE7420 pair. DSE's data sheet gives it a mains (utility) input of 15 V to 333 V AC (L-N) at 3.5 Hz to 75 Hz where the DSE7410 has a bus input. The sheet gives 11 configurable inputs, 8 configurable outputs and a 220 mm x 160 mm cut-out. Deep Sea Electronics lists the DSE7420 as obsolete and names the DSE7420 MKII as its replacement, a different module.

What is the DSE7420 used for?

The DSE7420 watches the mains (utility) supply and starts the generating set when the mains fails. It shows warnings, shutdowns and engine status on its LCD and LEDs.
