About the Deep Sea Electronics DSE7310

The DSE7310 is the original (MKI) auto start module of DSE's DSE7310 and DSE7320 pair. It has no mains (utility) input, which the DSE7320 adds, but DSE lists dual mutual standby as a feature of the DSE7310 only. DSE describes both as compatible with electronic (CAN) and non-electronic engines; the data sheet gives 9 configurable inputs, 8 configurable outputs, a generator range of 15 V to 415 V AC (Ph to N) and a 220 mm x 160 mm cut-out. Deep Sea Electronics lists the DSE7310 as obsolete and names the DSE7310 MKII as its replacement, a different module; its notice 056-035 also names the DSE7410 MKII.

What is the DSE7310 used for?

The DSE7310 starts, runs and stops a single generating set and protects the engine and alternator. DSE gives dual mutual standby as a way to reduce engine wear.
