About the Deep Sea Electronics DSE5560

The DSE5560 is DSE's automatic transfer switch and mains control module for its DSE5510 load share system. DSE says it is designed to synchronise multiple DSE5510s with single or multiple mains (utility) supplies, instructing them to make precise changes to the generating set outputs. DSE's data sheet gives generator bus and mains sensing inputs of 15 V (L-N) to 333 V AC (L-N), a normally open generator bus loading relay and a normally closed mains loading relay, each 8 A AC 250 V. Deep Sea Electronics lists the DSE5560 as obsolete and names the DSE8660 MKII as its replacement.

What is the DSE5560 used for?

The DSE5560 watches the mains (utility) supply and starts or stops the generating sets run by DSE5510 modules when the mains is lost or returns. DSE names peak lopping, peak shaving and no break return among its applications.
