About the Kongsberg 329714

The Kongsberg 329714 is the RAi-16xe, the remote analogue input module of Kongsberg's K-Chief 600 automation system. It reads 16 analogue signals, each selectable as voltage, current or Pt100/Pt1000 resistance with free scaling to engineering units, plus one 5–500 Hz counter input, and supplies excitation power to the sensors. The module checks limits, time-stamps alarms and events and reports to the system over a redundant CANopen field bus. All parameters are held in the module and configured remotely; there are no trimmers or jumpers.

What is the 329714 used for?

The RAi-16xe is mounted close to the sensors it reads, in an engine-room cabinet or directly on the main engine in a suitable enclosure, which keeps sensor cables short. It is the general-purpose analogue input for pressures, levels and temperatures in a K-Chief 600 alarm and monitoring system.
