About the Kongsberg 334895

The Kongsberg 334895 is the RAi-10tcxe, the thermocouple input module of Kongsberg's K-Chief 600 automation system. It measures temperature on 10 channels from thermocouples of types J, K, T, E, R, S, B or N, with cold-junction compensation built in and ranges up to 1200 °C for type K. It checks limits, time-stamps alarms and events and reports over a redundant CANopen field bus.

What is the 334895 used for?

Kongsberg describes the RAi-10tcxe as particularly suited to engine exhaust temperatures. It is placed close to the engine, in a suitable cabinet or on the engine itself, which keeps the sensitive thermocouple wiring short.
