About the Kongsberg 351792

The Kongsberg 351792 is the RTixe, the remote torque interface of Kongsberg's K-Chief 600 automation system. It measures torque and RPM on rotating shafts and calculates shaft power, using the shaft dimensions, maximum RPM and power and steel properties entered at commissioning. It gives torque, RPM and power on 4 analogue outputs, sends data over two CAN networks and can drive an external display over RS-422. Kongsberg's datasheet lists its class approvals as pending at the time of issue.

What is the 351792 used for?

The RTixe is part of a shaft power meter installation: it turns the measurement from the shaft into torque, RPM and power values for the automation system or an external display. It is mounted in a cabinet near the shaft line.
