About the Kongsberg 333346

The Kongsberg 333346 is the RIO-C2xe, a combined remote input/output module of Kongsberg's K-Chief 600 automation system. It has 8 galvanically isolated digital inputs, each protected by a self-resetting electronic fuse, and 8 relay outputs, and can be loaded with control functions: diesel engine start/stop with slow-turning logic, engine shutdown, standby pump logic, remote control of pump starters and valves, and a built-in PLC for project-specific logic. It communicates over a redundant CANopen field bus.

What is the 333346 used for?

The RIO-C2xe is used where local control is needed as well as I/O, for example the start/stop and shutdown logic of a generator engine or the changeover of standby pumps. It is mounted near the equipment, in an engine-room cabinet or on the engine in a suitable enclosure, and can serve a Local Operator Station.
