About the Kongsberg 333824

The Kongsberg 333824 is the RDi-32Axe, the version of Kongsberg's K-Chief 600 remote digital input module for active signals. Its 32 inputs take 24 VDC or AC (50–70 Hz) signals from powered equipment rather than dry contacts, and each input is individually isolated by an opto-coupler. States, alarms and events are time-stamped in the module and sent over a redundant CANopen field bus.

What is the 333824 used for?

The RDi-32Axe is used where the signals to be monitored are already powered, such as status outputs from other equipment, and isolation between channels matters. It is mounted close to the signal sources, in an engine-room cabinet or on the main engine in a suitable enclosure. For dry contacts Kongsberg uses the RDi-32xe (333523).
